SCULPTURE RESUME
FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR MY SCULPTURE DEVELOPMENT
1966 - I graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in sculpture. I went into sales and had three sales jobs up until 1974.
1974 - I went into the real estate business with the hope of one day supporting my family and have time to work on my sculpture. I purchased apartment rental buildings and fixed them up. By 1978 I had three mansions over 100 years old. I kept them up as apartment rentals. During this time I worked in grocery stores as a night crew stocker to support my family and have time during the day on the apartments up until 1983. I then quit my grocery store job with all my short term loans paid off so I could have time to work in sculpture.
SCULPTURE DEVELOPMENT
1984 to 2003 - I completed two ten foot stainless sculptures in 1984 and 1996. I also did a ten foot Honduras mahogany piece in 1984. Pieces of three quarter inch mahogany were mounted mounted on a four-inch steel pipe and supported with granite base. In the 1980s my objective in sculpture was to create ten steel sculptures which were successful. By 2003 I had completed ten the ten sculptures as models which could then be done as larger sculptures.
2010 to 2014 - I put together my first sculpture presentation in photographs with nine stainless and powder coated sculptures. These pieces were all completed from drawings of earlier model sculptures. I completed five more stainless sculptures by 2014.
2007 to 2018 - I completed four bronze sculptures in 2007 and 2008 which were cast at Art Castings of Colorado in Loveland. Recently I completed four more bronzes.
